Why Fiction?
Why do I create art? Because I love it.
Why do I love it? Because it feels good to make something that wasn't there before.
As a kid, I used to create art for fun. I would pull out my sketchpad and immerse myself in a world where I was the creator. You can't experience that in any other way. In art, anything can be, or not be. The rules of the world don't apply on the canvas. There are no speed limits between pen and paper.
It's creating the things we don't get in everyday life. As a child, your sense of imagination is wildly relentless. As we get older, it seems that imagination gets lost under the responsibilities we take on. I want to show people a picture of a person with a foot coming out of their mouth and say: "see? It's really not that serious".
